It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Stella Viets, mother of our beloved Executive Producer, Scott Viets, on October 16, 2024, in Sonora, CA. Stella was an ardent supporter of Sierra Repertory Theatre, finding immense joy and pride in our productions and the vibrant community we cultivate.

Her unwavering support and enthusiasm inspired everyone at Sierra Rep. Stella’s presence in our audience, radiant smile, and heartfelt applause will be profoundly missed. She had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel cherished and valued, creating a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

In honor of Stella‘s memory and her love for the theatre, she requested that any donations made in her name be directed to Sierra Repertory Theatre. These contributions will help continue the legacy of excellence and passion she so dearly championed.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Scott and his family during this difficult time. Stella‘s spirit will forever remain a part of Sierra Repertory Theatre, and her legacy of support and love for the arts will continue to inspire us all.
