Get ready to clap your hands, stomp your feet, and sing along to the greatest country songs of all time!
Cast
Allison Kelly is thrilled to return to Sierra Rep after two successful runs with her previous project, Ramblin Rose. Allison is the producer and creator of Americana Christmas, and is truly honored to bring this concert to SRT. Favorite productions include: The Williamstown Theatre Festival, The Other Josh Cohen (Director Hunter Foster), American Idiot, Moonshine and Mistletoe (Director DJ Salisbury), Airness (Human Race Theatre), and multiple productions of Ring of Fire and Almost Heaven: John Denver’s America. NY Workshops: Little Orphan Danny (New York Stage and Film), The Hello Girls. TV: “The Helpsters” (Apple TV+), The 75th Annual Tony Awards (ensemble vocalist). Allison tours nationally with her band New Ohio as well as Not Fade Away: Rock n/ Roll Reignited. She creates and produces concerts including “Americana Women: Celebrating the Icons of Country and Folk Music”. In addition to performing, Allison has served as Assistant Music Coordinator for the Tony Awards, Music Director for the Roxy Regional Theatre and as a sound designer for the Ensemble Theatre Company in New York City.
Jo is a Montana native and NYC-based actor-musician, director and co-creator of Ramblin’ Rose. She is the founder of the all-female bluegrass collective The Snowy Mountain Sisters. Jo’s theatre credits include: Off-Broadway & NYC — October Sky (Universal Stages’ Broadway Lab), The Goree All-Girl String Band (NYMF). Regional Theatre — Wild Fire (Denver Center), Almost Heaven (Merry-Go-Round Theatre), Big River (Alpine Theatre Project), Bright Star (Barter Theatre), and Once (Cape Playhouse). Jo is so grateful to bring Ramblin’ Rose to SRT!
Maggie Hollinbeck is thrilled to be at Sierra Rep revisiting Joni Mitchell’s music with her favorite music partner, Graham Sobelman, and the incredible musicians backing them up. Maggie is an actress and musician based in New York City where she’s becoming a fixture in the Actor/Musician genre, playing roles in musicals such as ONCE (1st national tour, PCLO and GEVA); RED ROSES, GREEN GOLD (Off-Broadway); WOODY SEZ (Ivoryton Playhouse); EBENEEZER SCROOGE’S BIG PLAYHOUSE CHRISTMAS SHOW (Bucks County Playhouse); and others. Her favorite place to make music, though, is in collaboration with Graham. Together they’ve recorded five albums: Another Shade of Blue and Jane Kenyon Sessions Vol. One-Four. Graham and Maggie recently spent a week at Jane Kenyon’s farm in New Hampshire developing a musical based on Graham’s compositions set to the poetry and prose of Jane and her husband, Donald Hall.
Morgan Morse is an actor, musician, and writer originally from Ansonia, Connecticut. Selected credits include: Southern Comfort at the Public Theater in NYC, The Porch on Windy Hill, Once, Godspell, South Pacific and Stand By Your Man at the Ivoryton Playhouse, Once at the Cape Playhouse, Hootenanny the Musicale at the Milwaukee Repertory Theater, and Ring of Fire everywhere from Houston, TX to Vienna, Austria. During the eventful year that was 2020, he started a TikTok account where he makes music and comedy videos, and now has over 170,000 followers on TikTok and over 30,000 on Instagram.
Josh has been a familiar face at music scenes in Reno, Sacramento, and San Jose. He’s drummed in jazz clubs, cruise ships, and major venues from the Mother Lode to LA. Since 2013, his main gig is holding down the beat for Grover Anderson & The Lampoliers, with whom he’s headlined regional festivals, sold out shows at Brice Station Vineyards and Inner Sanctum, and opened for America and Creedence Clearwater Revisited. Since performing with Ramblin’ Rose last season, Josh has also performed at Strawberry and Salmonfest in Ninilchik, Alaska.
Artistic Team
Tatiana Covington-Parra is thrilled to be diving into another season at Sierra Rep after a whirlwind 2021 return. Beginning as a sound engineer at Modesto Junior College, she is grateful to have found a community and the opportunity to grow as an artist thanks to the guidance and support of the SRT company. Her favorite design work at SRT includes Cabaret, The Wizard of Oz, and Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner. She would like to thank her Mom, Grandma, family, friends, the MJC Theatre staff, and all her mentors for always allowing her to create, explore, and grow with love.
Jonnie is very excited to be returning to SRT this year. Jonnie graduated from Texas State University in 2020 with a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts. They have worked professionally as an electrician at the Ground Floor Theatre in Austin, Texas, and the Connecticut Repertory Theatre in Storrs, Connecticut. They have also designed productions at SRT including the Tribute Concert series and The Christmas Foundling. Jonnie looks forward to being a Master Electrician and Designer for SRT for many shows to come.
