Elle Woods appears to have it all. Her life is turned upside down when her boyfriend Warner dumps her so he can attend Harvard Law. Determined to get him back, Elle ingeniously charms her way into the prestigious law school. While there, she struggles with peers, professors, and her ex. With some new friends’ support, Elle quickly realizes her potential and sets out to prove herself to the world.

Camryn is thrilled to return to SRT this season as an Artistic Associate! Previous SRT credits include: Sunday in the Park with George (Dot/Marie), Cinderella (Ella), Jersey Boys (Mary Delgado), and Elf (Jovie). Camryn has had the pleasure to perform at several regional houses including Casa Mañana and Utah Festival Opera and Musical Theatre. Camryn received her BFA in Musical Theatre from the University of Arizona. She would like to thank her friends, family, and SRT for their endless love and support. Enjoy the show!
Marlee is a New York-based actor originally from California. She is thrilled to be returning to Sierra Rep! You may have most recently seen her as Clarice in Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer during the holiday season! Legally Blonde has a special place in her heart as it takes place at her alma mater UCLA. She is trading in her Alpha Phi pin for Delta Nu! Marlee has performed both internationally and regionally. Her favorite credits include The Music Man In Concert with the Pacific Symphony and Cabaret at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Joelle is delighted to be making her SRT debut, reprising the role of Margot in her second production of Legally Blonde! Courtney returns to Sierra Rep having recently appeared as The Witch in Into the Woods. From leading ladies, to character roles and kicking a leg up in the chorus, SRT has never failed to inspire and challenge Courtney as an artist. She was also seen in 2023 right across the county line as Cathy in The Last Five Years at Murphys Creek Theatre. Career highlights beyond the California Foothills include the original Broadway company of The Woman in White, the Australian tour of Sweeney Todd and the Austral-Asian premiere of Ragtime with The Production Company in Melbourne, Victoria. “Dedicating this one to all my gal-pals, near and far.”
Craig is thrilled to make his SRT debut! Craig is a Sacramento actor, director and former Sheldon THEATREworks and ARTSwork Academy Program Director. Mandy is excited to return to SRT, where she was last seen as Lisa/Assistant Choreographer in Mamma Mia! She’s thrilled to reprise Brooke Wyndham in her third production of Legally Blonde. Additional favorite roles include Lucy Grant (Bright Star), Mrs. Wormwood (Matilda), Miss Hannigan (Annie), and Young Penelope (The Penelopiad). On-screen, Mandy has appeared in Lifetime’s “Roommate Regret” and “A Mother’s Intuition”. She hopes you enjoy the show!

Sarah is honored to get to reprise the role of Kitty after being a part of the production in 2015. Sarah was last seen at SRT as Marion/others in Elvis the Musical and then co-choreographed the East Coast Premiere at the Dutch Apple Dinner Theater in PA. TJ Shelton is excited to make his Sierra Rep debut in Legally Blonde! TJ is a graduate of AMDA in New York City and was recently seen on stage in the National Tour of Sesame Street LIVE! Laurie Strawn is delighted to be back at SRT! Recent SRT roles: Clairee in Steel Magnolias, Princess Dragomiroff in Murder on the Orient Express. Past SRT favorites include Noises Off, Picnic, and The Man of La Mancha. Regional roles include Tessie in Gypsy, Jean Louise Finch in To Kill a Mockingbird, and Miss Shingle in A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder. Laurie gives love and thanks to Lee Strawn, another SRT alum, and their wonderful daughter, Julia.
Tino, short for Destino, is making his stage debut in this production of Legally Blonde. He has previously appeared in many Zoom meetings and FaceTime calls, TikTok posts, and Instagram videos. Tino was featured with his human on an episode of “A Days Work” (S1, E1). Tino is proud to be a part of The SRT family. 🐾

Heather received 2007 Tony and Drama Desk nominations for her work on Legally Blonde. Graduate of the University of Colorado, Boulder, School of Journalism. Worked at The New York Times Denver Bureau as a research assistant and Sports and Fitness Publishing in Boulder, Colorado, as a magazine editor. Member of Denver’s Comedy Sports improv comedy troupe. Worked on the TV shows “Caroline in the City” and “Dilbert.” Won Walt Disney Screenwriting Fellowship in 1999. Film credits include Disney’s “Freaky Friday” and “What to Expect When You’re Expecting.” Also wrote the young adult novel “Freaky Monday” with Mary Rodgers. Much love to friends and family, especially Jason, Harper and Drake.
Laurence O’Keefe received 2007 Tony and Drama Desk nominations for his work on Legally Blonde. Larry thanks all Blonde producers and creative team. He won the Ed Kleban Award, the ASCAP Richard Rodgers New Horizons Award and a Jonathan Larson award for his music and lyrics. Off-Broadway credits: Bat Boy: The Musical (Lucille Lortel, Richard Rodgers, Outer Critics’ Circle awards), which has received 100+ productions worldwide; music for Sarah, Plain and Tall, lyrics by Nell Benjamin (touring with TheatreWorksUSA). Co-author with Nell Benjamin of Cam Jansen (Drama Desk nomination) and The Mice. Larry is a product of his education with the Harvard Krokodiloes, the Hasty Pudding Theatricals, the Harvard Lampoon and the Actors’ Gang, but especially the incomparable Nell Benjamin.
Nell Benjamin co-wrote the score to Legally Blonde, the Musical with composer Laurence O’Keefe, which received Tony Award nominations, Drama Desk nominations, and the Olivier and Helpmann Awards for Best Musical.
Nell wrote the lyrics to Mean Girls, which received multiple Tony Award nominations, including for Best Original Score and Best Musical.
Nell’s play, The Explorers Club, won the Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Off-Broadway Play, the Edgerton Foundation New American Plays Award, and an Alfred P. Sloan Foundation grant.
Nell has written book and/or lyrics for Pirates! (or Gilbert and Sullivan plunder’d), Sarah, Plain and Tall, Cam Jansen (Drama Desk-nominated), I Want My Hat Back, How I Became A Pirate, The Mice, Life of the Partyand Because of Winn Dixie.

In 2019, Lee created SRT in Schools, a touring program that brings live professional theatre to Tuolumne County schools at no cost to the schools, students, or their families. In 2023, the program branched out to include Stanislaus and Calaveras counties.
Valerie has been a freelance Director/Choreographer for the past 27 years. Valerie attended California Institute of the Arts for her BFA in Acting and the University of California Irvine for her MFA in Directing. Valerie has worked at theaters around the country including: Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Syracuse Opera, Utah Shakespeare Festival, PCPA Theaterfest and Utah Festival Opera. Valerie is currently the Artistic Director at the Oregon Cabaret Theatre in Ashland, OR.
Matt is an actor, musician, composer, arranger, music director/supervisor and music/audio producer. His Broadway credits include One Man, Two Guvnors (Associate Music Director) and Bandstand. Off-Broadway, he was a part of Roundabout Theatre’s revival of The Robber Bridegroom. Matt has also been a part of numerous national tours and regional theatre productions. His favorite credits include John Doyle’s Sweeney Todd, The Buddy Holly Story (Music Director), and loves playing CASH in Ring of Fire (Music Director) and Million Dollar Quartet (Music Director). On television, he can be seen on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and heard in The Reading League’s Reading Buddies where he serves as composer and sound designer.
Marcella (she/her) is a New York City based lighting designer. Recent credits include Much Ado About Nothing (Oregon Shakespeare Festival), Carmen (Austin Opera), Murder on the Orient Express (Playmaker’s Rep), La Traviata (Opera Omaha), L’amant Anonyme (Madison Opera), L’elisir d’amore (Florentine Opera), Lucy and Charlie’s Honeymoon (Lookingglass Theatre, world premiere), Santa Cruz Shakespeare’s 2023+2024 festivals, Maria de Buenos Aires (Opera San Antonio, Opera Columbus), The Threepenny Operam, Rigoletto (Opera Columbus), Cabaret, As One, The Threepenny Opera, The Threepenny Carmen (world premiere) (The Atlanta Opera). Upcoming projects include: Madama Butterfly (Opera San Antonio, Austin Opera), The Merry Wives of Windsor, Into the Woods (Oregon Shakespeare Festival). She received her Master of Fine Arts at Boston University and is a proud member of USA 829. As a Chinese-American lighting designer, Marcella actively seeks to collaborate with and amplify the voices of fellow BIPOC artists of all intersectionalities.
Brenda O’Brien began her theater career in San Diego, where she was seen as Judas in Godspell, Louise in Gypsy, Nicki in Sweet Charity, and Viola in Twelfth Night (to name a few). She received awards for her roles as Ouisa in Six Degrees of Separation, Joan in Dames at Sea, Aldonza in Man of La Mancha, and Electra in Gypsy. Brenda then went on to perform as Svetlana in the 1st National tour of Chess. Soon after she began portraying Carmen San Diego on the PBS television show and video games. In addition to acting, Brenda is an accomplished make-up artist and hairdresser for TV, Film, and Theater. She received her 25 years on Broadway pin in 2019 for her work on Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Les Misérables, Jekyll & Hyde, and Disney’s The Lion King. SRT Audiences might remember her as Tanya in Mamma Mia (2018), or as Tootie in Meet Me in St. Louis (2021). So glad to be back!
Matthew Rose: a man of many talents, from riveting audiences on stage in Daylight to Booneville, Deathtrap, and Into the Woods, to behind-the-scenes wizardry at Sierra Repertory Theatre. With a knack for bringing characters to life and a touch of humor, Matthew’s journey in theater is a delightful mix of passion and creativity. Whether wielding props or pulling strings, he’s a force to be reckoned with, both on and offstage.
Maggie Braun (Stage Manager) is thrilled to be back at her theatre home! SRT: Steel Magnolias, Murder on the Orient Express, Route 66, The Wizard of Oz, Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery, and Million Dollar Quartet. With her associate degree in Theater from Modesto Junior College, she is proud to have her dream job here in Sonora. She would like to thank her family, best friends, and Connor for supporting her in her journey of chasing her dreams. “Look ma, I made it!”
